Forde Begin Berneslai Homes Pilot Scheme

Forde have begun work on a special pilot scheme designed to both better improve sustainability and energy efficiency within fuel poverty dwellings in Barnsley. The project is built around Forde's specially designed internal Louvered Air Source Heat Pump System. After a successful field trial over 18 months, Berneslai Home were confident that with our design, we could lift many in the Barnsley community out of solid fuel dependance and improve 'fuel poverty'.

With over 18,000 homes in its stock and an ever increasing number (currently 800) in the fuel poverty category, Berneslai Homes recognise the need to do something sooner rather than later. Forde have also been instrumental in securing Utility part funding for Berneslai Homes, even introducing our contacts at the Utility provider when the initial government funding was withdrawn by the new coalition parties.

The project will be completed by October 2010 and watch this space for more news and updates!
